Description
Inspired by a painting by Artemisia Gentileschi, “Judith beheading Holofernes”. This has been re-worked in two stages. First a small, loose, thickly painted tile, this is then transcribed onto canvas in detail. The paint on the canvas is flat, rather than impasto and glazed to give it an ethereal almost underwater feel.
